Sky Zone {Sam's Writing Advice}

Sam's Writing Tip: When you're writing a story, make your characters move, think, and talk.

*****

I was at the big doors at Sky Zone. I thought about what tricks to do. Before I knew it, it was our time to jumpI jumped at the basketball place. SCORE! Yay! I just slam dunked the ball in the hoop!

Then, I went to the foam cube pit. I ran,  and catapulted myself into the pit! "Ohyea!"I screamed.

Then, I ran, well, lets just say speed walked, to the trampoline park. I got the corner!! I jumped off the wall, jumped once, and did a double 360! I kept on doing that and then played dodge ball. WOOSH! The doge ball zoomed past me. Ha! It missed me! For the rest of the time I played at the trampoline park.

the end.

  1. Sam,
    I enjoyed reading your post about Skyzone! It sounds like a fun place to jump and play...I just heard about this place. A friend of mine is taking her nephews there.

  2. I love this writing tip and how you taught it to me through your use of color! I will be sharing this tip with my 6th graders. I hope you don't mind if I use your story as a mentor text - one that I put up on the screen for my kids to see and model. The trampoline park looks like fun! I wish we had one of those.
