IIIIIII'M BACK!

shooting bottle rockets off on Sunday
Hello! I am back today and I have a cool science experiment that I did with a very special grandpa. We used his air compressor, a soda bottle rocket, and a tube. When you pressed the valve and held on for about 3-5 seconds, then release, it goes in a wide variety of heights, 20-55 feet. If you want to see it on youtube, just look for my channel and look for the video. I used:

  •  2- 2 liter soda bottles
  • 1 plastic Solo cup
  • 1 pointed yarn spool
  • some cardboard
  • 1/3 roll Dollar General duct tape
I was going to paint it, but I realized that paint does not stick to duct tape. so I just wrote U.S.A on the side and drew a little window. Maybe you can make one!
    Thanks,
             Sam

Minecraft Survival Help

Hi there! Today, I am going to help you out if you play Minecraft. My brother, my sister, my other sister, and I love Minecraft. For those of you who do not know what Minecraft is, it is a game where everything is blocks, and you can build some epic things! So you should play it!
Anyway, Jordan (my brother) and I were playing survival in Minecraft, we worked on our house all day. It was a dirt house, and now it is cool. But that night, we went outside and we fought mobs like creepers, zombies, skeletons, and endermen. We were doing pretty good, when my health bar started going down. I started losing health points, and I looked franticly around for a sheep, pig, or something else to eat their meat. But I could not find any. Tips:

  • WORK ON YOUR HOUSE, THEN FIND MEAT. This is helpful, because tonight you will need it.
  • MAKE A WOOD PICKAXE. You will need this to mine 9 blocks of stone, then make a furnace. Cook your meat in the furnace using wood or coal or charcoal.
  • USE YOUR MEAT WISELY. You will need to conserve it for tonight. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL.
So when you are looking for meat, choose cows as your main meal. They will give you raw beef, which you can cook to give you health points. Usually, they will give you leather, too. Oh yeah! That just reminded me!
When I was dying of hunger, we ran to a mountain, there the monsters could not get us. So I died, and Jordan collected my items for me. but, he was not very careful, and a spider jumped on him, killing him.

  • BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDING AREA. This will be helpful when you are out at night.
  • KILL COWS TO MAKE LEATHER ARMOR. This will help reduce the damage that you take.
  • ORGANIZE YOUR HOTBAR. This might just save your life.
Thank you for reading! Bye!

Stuffed mania!

Last night, I had a dream. It was a weird dream, and it was about two stuffed sharks. Now, as I realize my dream, I want a stuffed shark. So I looked on Amazon. Related:

  • Stuffed Koi Fish,
  • Stuffed catfish,
  • and stuffed largemouth bass.
Now I want them all! you should check them out. they are so cool!
here is the one I probably want the most(hard to decide!).
So now that you know what I will buy, It will be so cool! I will post pictures with him if I get him!
     Thanks,
            Sam

Mushroom News

Hello! This is my first blog in forever. I'm excited to be back!

I made a video today! Everyone else had a snow day, but my school was still in session. That happens online!

I made this video to teach about mushrooms. First I did a little background research by watching a video and reading an article my mom emailed me. It's from Wonderopolosis. Click here to see it!

Then I used my writer's notebook to make a list of good interview questions. I typed up the interview questions and asked my sister to interview me.

Please enjoy,
Sam

Venus Flytrap Facts {Sam's Writing Advice}

Yay! It is Sam again! I am giving facts for Venus flytraps. We have a Venus flytrap named Jaws.

Sam's Writing Tip: Not everything you find on the Internet is true. Research different sites. For example, Sweet Search is a good place to begin.  It is a database where everything is checked to be true.

Here are six facts about Venus flytraps:

  1. Another name for a Venus flytrap is Dionaea muscipula. (say die-oh-nee-ah-mus-se-pew-uh-lu)
  2. People are making robot Venus flytraps.
  3. A Venus flytrap is a carnivorous plant (meaning it can eat meat).
  4. Venus flytraps come from North and South Carolina.
  5. My favorite carnivorous plant is a Venus flytrap.
  6. Venus flytraps go dormant for three months, December, January, and February. You do not need to make them hibernate in the refrigerator.
My Venus flytrap, Jaws, is healthy.

If you like my writing tips, you can sign up for my posts to be emailed to you above the Lego Me!

PS -- If one of the flytraps is 100% black, cut it off with a pair of scissors.

Celebrating 2

Hey! Hey! You can have my posts emailed to you by subscribing with that box over there --------->.

One.
My dad, the gorilla, is funny. (He is in a costume--don't worry!) Gorilla Dad shook the fort, grabbed Meatman's feet, and growled. It would make you scared!

Two.

My aunt Abbie is very nice. She gives me popcorn at games. Last night at the high school football game, I was freeeeeeeezing and she gave me a blanket. That's not the best part, though. The best part was the back rub! But I fell asleep it was so massaging and then I hit the ground! Well, not the ground, but the bleachers. Aunt Abbie held me tight after that!

Three.

Friends came over for Friend Friday. Zach, Gavin, Abby, and Erin ate dinner with us and fought the Gorilla Dad. (The girls were on the Gorilla side.) Dinner was good -- PIZZA!

Four.

Venus Flytraps. This is Jaws, our Venus Flytrap. No, we will not chop him to death...he's gentle. His leaves feel like leather. I take care of him. When I get home from school, I tell him about my day. He's a very good listener. Don't feed Venus Flytraps regular water. Feed them distilled water. If most of the traps are turning black, put meat in one of the green traps. Then your Venus Flytrap will grow stronger.

7 Things to Celebrate

I am celebrating a few things this month:

  1. My  sister's birthday
  2. My report card (Oops! I said the R-word!)
  3. Legos (Haha!)
  4. Sleep
  5. Scout camp
  6. Lassie (I watched Lassie and now want a Border Collie.)
  7. My family: Mom, Dad, Jordan (aka Meatman or Jay), Stephanie, Hannah(we are celebrating Hannah's bday!) and, last but not least, ME!

One of my Lego sets.

This is Lassie, the Border Collie. Border Collie's are my favorite kind of dogs. I decided this after watching Lassie.
